Brittany Smith earned her law degree from California Western School of Law. She graduated with a concentration with honors in Child, Family and Elder Law. During law school, she worked at the law library and interned with the YWCA Domestic Violence Legal Clinic as well as with Dependency Legal Group Minor’s Counsel Office.
Since passing the July 2012 California Bar Exam on her first attempt, Brittany has worked as an attorney for Dependency Legal Group Minor’s Counsel Office and Children’s Legal Services of San Diego. With both organizations, she served as attorney and guardian ad litem for children in the foster care system. In August of 2015, she was also admitted as an attorney in Massachusetts, after passing the Massachusetts Bar Exam on her first attempt. Brittany is a very compassionate attorney and is looking forward to putting her legal expertise to work by helping San Diego families protect their assets.
Outside of work, Brittany lives with her husband (they are newlyweds!) and their two cats. She enjoys drinking copious amounts of coffee and trying new recipe ideas from Pinterest. She loves getting exercise by walking for miles along San Diego’s gorgeous beaches or joining in on the occasional Zumba class.
